Summary:

The Photographer will perform a variety of duties in support of the E-commerce and Marketing departments which includes but is not limited to staging, styling, capturing, and editing high-quality photography and video, and deploying assets to their platforms. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining an efficient production process, preparing subject samples for shooting and post producing/preparing images for the web.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with Lead Photographer and Studio Manager to deliver the best photographic representation of products across multiple digital platforms
  • Manage and track a high volume of product images by assuring the adherence to and maintenance of an efficient product photography/post-production process and workflow
  • Assure collaboration with Marketing, Merchandising and Buying coordinators on shoot prioritization and scheduling
  • Contribute to the building and maintenance of camera, lighting, computer, and studio equipment inventory
  • Organize, name, retouch and upload images and videos for E-commerce and Marketing
  • Light, compose, style, photograph, and process a wide range of E-commerce products according to style guide
  • Participate in pre-production meetings and execute stylized photo and video shoots for Marketing – on location as needed
  • Troubleshoot basic production challenges under the direction of Lead Photographer
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly in technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work
  • Speak clearly and persuasively about photography technology
  • Maintain a mastery over photography equipment, technologies and tactics
  • Knowledge in fashion accessories with the ability to balance artistic and ecommerce needs appropriately

Minimum Requirements:

We are looking for a self-motivated, open-minded team member who has a strong background in and passion for product photography. Ideally this person would encompass most (if not all) of these points:

  • Degree in Photography
  • 2+ years of experience in photographing consumer goods and apparel merchandise
  • Experience with video filming and editing
  • Solid understanding of lighting techniques, equipment, composition, and color theory
  • Strong portfolio showcasing photography skills
  • Capture One
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere Pro)
  • Highly organized, professional individual that works quickly under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and handle several projects simultaneously under deadlines
  • A self-starter that can hit the ground running, shows initiative, but isn't afraid to ask for direction and work with the team
  • ·Experience in diagnosing and resolving technical malfunctions with cameras, lighting equipment, lenses, etc.
  • Familiarity with Snap36 Robots and SpinMe software, or another 360 photography method, is a HUGE plus!

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Active role – you will be building and breaking down sets often

Commercial photography studio.
