Summary:

Seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Intern to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the IT field. As an IT Intern, you will assist the IT department in maintaining and supporting our application design and documentation, providing technical support, and contributing to various IT projects. This role offers valuable exposure to a wide range of IT tasks and systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in writing, testing, and debugging code. 
  • Identify and fix bugs, conduct unit tests. 
  • Maintain technical documents, APIs, and troubleshooting guides. 
  • Work with developers, QA, and project teams.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software issues.
  • Help deconstruct legacy applications and processes, as well as document the findings.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of software and solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Programming (Python, Java, JavaScript), SDLC, databases (SQL/NoSQL),
  • Coding, debugging, problem-solving, documentation, communication, teamwork, time management.
  • Quick learning, independent work, attention to detail, adaptability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in IT and technology.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A willingness to learn and grow in the IT field.

Physical Demands:

Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding and use of peripheral equipment. Moderate lifting.

Work Environment:

The work environment includes typical computer-related noise with exposure to computer hardware and video screens. It is fast-paced with production issues dictating and changing work priorities. The incumbent is on call to provide support services during off hours. Scheduled night and weekend work is required.  You must be energetic and self-motivated to keep up.
