Summary:

The intern will assist with daily studio operations, and work in every stage of shoots - including prep, shoot days, and post-production. Interns will gain valuable experience related to how we produce photos and videos while collaborating and learning from industry professionals on a variety of production initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Work alongside studio team members - prepping products, capturing images and video, editing and organizing files, and everything in between
  • Learn the basics of our photography hardware and software - including PhotoRobots, SpinMe, Capture One
  • Maintain and manage studio equipment
  • Organize, build and break down in-studio and on-location photo and video sets - create/follow lighting and set diagrams
  • Keep accurate daily shoot records
  • Maintain neat a studio, clean equipment, replenish studio supplies, take care of props, accept deliveries, etc.
  • Learn and use our file management and organizational structure
  • Utilize Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Capture One, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic camera functions, composition, and editing tools (e.g., Lightroom). 
  • Photography, basic editing, and understanding lighting. 
  • Willingness to learn, creativity, attention to detail, and teamwork. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled in, or graduate of, an accredited institution for photography (preferably a commercial focus)
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience in delivering creative and effective photography
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work in both a team and individual setting
  • Some experience in image and video post-processing
  • Ability to work with both ambient and studio lighting - including familiarity with various light modifiers
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Capture One
  • Familiar with studio equipment and photography fundamentals

Physical Demands:

  • May need to be on feet for extended periods during shoots or events.       
  • Lifting and transporting cameras, lenses, tripods, and lighting equipment.  
  • Handling and adjusting camera settings, props, and equipment.  
  • To capture different angles or set up equipment.
