Position Description:
The Human Resources Department is seeking a personable and adaptable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Afternoon Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The primary responsibility of this role is to welcome visitors and handle inquiries in person and over the phone, ensuring everyone receives prompt, courteous, and helpful service. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and adaptability are essential.
Core Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically greet guests and direct them to the appropriate person or department
Professionally answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls; take and relay messages as necessary
Provide general information and assistance to callers and visitors
Perform general administrative and clerical tasks as assigned
Manage conference and vendor room scheduling
Maintain the reception area and other public spaces to ensure a professional appearance
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in customer service preferred; retail experience is a plus
- Professional personal presentation and a polished, approachable demeanor appropriate for a front-office role.

- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
Physical Demands:
- This position is primarily sedentary. Applicants, with or without accommodations, must be able to sit for extended periods, as well as occasionally stand and walk. The role requires reaching, grasping, and possessing fine motor skills for typing. Additionally, candidates should be able to lift light objects, such as files, bend or stoop to access lower drawers, and have good near vision for computer work.
