Summary of Job:

Assist with maintaining all Cybersecurity and Networking efforts within Rack Room Shoes. Help screen weaknesses in the company infrastructure and create robust countermeasures to prevent future incidents. Help maintain the stability of the Imperva environment and support our eCommerce ecosystem. Help manage Proofpoint and support our security awareness program. Help train employees on security best practices and advice management on investments to safeguard the company’s computer and network systems. Monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network security hardware, software, and communications links. Assist in analyzing network traffic, performance, and capacity. Configuration and management of security for mobile devices, tablets, and phones. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network Security configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enforce Rack Room’s adopted security framework.
  • Security policy awareness – Help maintain the Security awareness program and ensure that all employees are aware of RRS security policies.
  • Security policy enforcement– Making sure established Security policies are properly adhered to.
  • Security Risk assessment – Help to evaluate potential security risk to RRS and our tolerance level.
  • Cybersecurity incident response – Help enforce and enhance our incident response policy. Making sure incidents are logged and properly managed.
  • Security vulnerability scanning and remediation – Working with departmental staff to identify network, server and user vulnerabilities and take proper action.
  • Will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network security hardware, software, and communication links to assure that security protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with Network and Security Team members to assess near and long-term network capacity needs and design and implement strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network security configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Ability and Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network Security administration, Cyber security engineering and network security protocols, cybersecurity and data protection. Some knowledge of PCI standard is required.
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in an IT discipline (computer related field with Cyber Security emphasis.
  • At least 3-years of industry-related practical experience as a Network and Cybersecurity Engineer.
  • Network or Cybersecurity production support with user emphasis.
  • Must be able to work with a team, but also autonomously as needed.
  • Working experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, Wi-Fi controllers and Firewalls is recommended.
  • Working experience with Cybersecurity tools and platforms’.
  • Good understanding of penetration testing methodologies, Vulnerability scanning and remediation.
  • Experience in the following areas: incident response, cyber threat hunting, and cyber security analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced cyber threats and adversary methodologies.
  • An explorer - curious and investigative, analytical and methodical problem solver, strong student of the discipline, ethical and reliable.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure of impending deadlines and able to recognize and act on the priority of work assigned
  • A strong communicator
  • Must have a good attitude and work with everyone with professionalism.

Work Environment:

The work environment includes typical computer related noise with exposure to computer hardware and video screens. It is fast paced with production issues dictating and changing work priorities. Incumbent is on call to provide support services during off hours. Scheduled night and weekend work is required.  You must be energetic and self-motivated to keep up.
