Digital Marketing Content Strategist

Reports to: Senior Integrated Campaign Manager/ Director of Integrated Marketing

Overall Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Content Strategist will work closely with all cross-functional teams to determine web and social media strategies that best support the business. The Digital Marketing Content Strategist will develop, plan, build and manage content based for all web and digital media campaigns. The Digital Marketing Content Strategist will work with the team to track, analyze, test and optimize content performance across platforms to make sure they are on-target with company defined KPIs.

This role requires a strong Project Management skill set, proficiency in analytical tools such as ContentSquare, Adobe Analytics and/or Microstrategies, along with content and social platform creation and management abilities. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strategize web and social media stories that will drive the business.
  • Develop marketing plans against specific key initiatives, company strategies and/or new product and brand launches on web and social media channels.
  • Maintain the Web and Social Messaging Calendars to ensure the daily execution of content including promotional messaging, pricing, inventory, and deliveries.
  • Work with the creative team to develop content for web and social media channels.
  • Analyze current/trending and past results to influence future web and social content strategies. Identify factors that may affect success and develops plans for successful implementation.

 

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in Communications, Marketing, or Advertising.
  • Candidate should be a strong project manager with excellent communication skills and time management skills.
  • Familiar with search engine optimization and SEO writing techniques to help improve web experience campaigns.
  • Experience in using 3rd party tools for content management, scheduling, distribution, and reporting, such as Adobe, BaseCamp, ContentSquare, WorkFront and Jira.
  • Experience as a content or marketing coordinator with Retail experience, is a plus.
