Conversion Rate Optimization Specialist

As a Rack Room Shoes Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day planning and execution process centered around analyzing and engineering tests for our digital properties. Your analysis and test results will inform our business and user experience teams of potential opportunities, though strategic and tactical recommendations, to continue to drive revenue growth. The CRO Specialist should possess the ability to communicate readily with business and user experience teams, analyze business and user experience data to guide testing strategy, rapidly prototype UI concepts, and build user-focused tests for our digital properties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross functional teams (creative, content, digital, user experience, CRM)
  • Continually improve CRO processes in collaboration with the business
  • Leverages metrics, optimization, qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions
  • Create conversion optimization strategies, including managing external agencies (Ex. Contentsquare, Monetate)
  • Conduct internal planning meetings and lead the development of A/B & multivariate testing road maps that will lift conversion rates and improve KPIs
  • Analyze results and identify successes, failures, and trends, and effectively communicate these findings to help benchmark the CRO process
  • Lead progress meetings during which you will report results, make recommendations, and assist the business in understanding the chosen strategies and what available information was used to aid in strategic decisions
  • Setup, troubleshoot and spot existing issues with optimization test set-ups and present results internally through the production of high-quality documentation
  • Internally evangelize the benefits of Conversion Optimization and lead CRO workshops cross functionally
  • Understand best practices for UI and UX for landing pages, applications, mobile, and desktop
  • Creates – and occasionally directs the creation of – journey maps, navigation flows, site maps, user stories, wireframes, concept diagrams and works with marketing for personas
  • Effective communicator to market test ideas and influence test-related decisions

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Data Science, or a related field
  • Experienced and knowledgeable with CRO tools/platforms to develop, setup, launch, analyze A/B and/or multivariate tests
  • Strong analytical skills
  • 3+ years of similar position, managing CRO optimization
  • 3+ years of experience in JavaScript (AJAX), HTML, and CSS with an understanding of front to backend processing, API services, testing, debugging, and page performance concepts
  • Strong experience in ecommerce markets with a B2C focus
  • Strong communication, presentation, and creative challenge-solving skills
  • Ability to anticipate user needs by incorporating research, strategy and analytics
  • Strong grasp of ROI with an analytical mind to mine data for insights and generate hypothesis for constant and fast iteration testing
  • Organized and methodical in setting up processes to streamline testing cadence with a team of diverse skills
  • Experience with multichannel media campaigns including a working knowledge of paid search testing ad text and landing pages
  • Excellent presentation and slide building skills to showcase learnings, results, and capture interest and attention
  • Knowledge & experience in lean/agile product development, mobile platforms, and US market trends
  • Solid understanding of web and mobile (native) technologies

  • Single Page Application Development, using Angular, React, or Vue
