Role Overview

We are seeking a Growth Strategist to architect and execute the core of our Performance Media program. You will be the primary architect of our full-funnel strategy and the lead executioner for our digital operations. The ideal candidate is a hybrid thinker who can bridge the gap between driving awareness and conversions, understanding how Search intent and Social discovery work together to drive growth.

As the primary owner of our Google ecosystem and a lead strategist for our overall digital scaling efforts, you will move beyond channel silos to ensure our "full-funnel" engine is truly cohesive. You will be responsible for growing our presence within the Google/Bing ecosystem and beyond, collaborating cross-functionally with Social, SEO, and Creative teams to deliver impactful content that elevates the Rack Room Shoes brand and converts at every touchpoint.

Core Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Ad Operations & Build: Lead the end-to-end execution of all Google Ads and Bing properties. This includes the technical build of Search, Shopping, Video and display campaigns. You are responsible for everything from campaign structure and ad copy to setting up tracking and targeting parameters.
  • Budget Management & Optimization: Own the daily management and strategic allocation of the digital media budget. You are responsible for pacing, bid adjustments, and real-time reallocations to maximize ROAS. You must ensure every dollar is deployed efficiently across the full funnel to meet aggressive growth targets.
  • Program Testing & Roadmapping: Own the testing lifecycle for our digital channels. You will design, implement, and analyze A/B tests for ad copy, landing pages, and bidding strategies. Your goal is to move beyond "best practices" to find unique, scalable opportunities through a rigorous "test-and-learn" framework.
  • Full-Funnel Reporting & Performance Intelligence: Standardize and maintain KPI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into account health. You must translate technical data into clear business outcomes for senior leadership, highlighting exactly how top-of-funnel spend is fueling bottom-of-funnel conversions.
  • Shopping & Feed Strategic Architecture: Own the technical optimization and strategic layout of our Shopping program. You will work directly with Product and Creative teams to ensure our feed is clean, categorized correctly, and optimized for maximum visibility in a competitive retail landscape.
  • Search & GEO Integration: In collaboration with the SEO lead, execute a unified search strategy. You will be responsible for the paid execution of our transition into Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring our paid keyword targeting and ad copy complement our organic efforts to dominate the SERP.
  • Cross-Channel Growth Scoping: In partnership with Social and Affiliate leads, execute the technical launch of CTV, OTT, and Influencer-led performance efforts. You will ensure these awareness-driving channels are technically integrated into our conversion tracking and remarketing loops.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • You are a hands-on expert who doesn't just manage dashboards; you build them. You have a proven track record of constructing and optimizing complex media structures from the ground up and aren't afraid to "get your hands dirty" in the platforms daily.
  • You have full mastery of the Google ecosystem (Search, Shopping, PMax, YouTube, Demand Gen) and Microsoft/Bing, with a strong working knowledge of how Social platforms (Meta, TikTok) can be leveraged to fuel search intent.

Work Experience

  • 3+ years in Digital Media; Agency experience a plus.
  • Full Mastery of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
  • Full mastery of Google Analytics (GA4) and Excel. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau) and 3rd party reporting tools is a major plus.
  • Hands-on experience using 3rd party tools (e.g., Feedonomics) for product feed optimization.
  • Proven experience managing or strategically advising on Paid Social campaigns, specifically understanding the "halo effect" of Social on Search performance.
  • Experience in high-volume retail or e-commerce is highly preferred.

Education:

  • B.S./B.A. in Marketing, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

Physical Demands:

This position is primarily sedentary. Applicants, with or without accommodations, must be able to sit for extended periods, as well as occasionally stand and walk.
