Summary:

The Buying Coordinator’s primary responsibility is the entering and maintaining of purchase orders including SKU generation and UPC downloads and associations.  Maintaining samples and working with our photography studio to get images online. 

The ideal candidate should come with previous retail experience, communication with vendors and working with merchandise to support sales plans. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Managing photographing, online and cataloging product samples, shipping, and tracking packages from the Buying/Merchandising department. 
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with vendor partners.
  • Maintain all Buying tracking documents required and ensure information is complete and accurate (i.e., sampling and promotional product planning).
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to manage help resolve any product issues with vendors.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal business partners to track PO’s for on time arrival 
  • Partner with visual on merchandising execution retail that support assortment and sales plans.
  • Assist with pulling sales data for key meetings such as weekly business reviews, monthly forecasting, quarterly Investment Review.
  • Participate in seasonal markets and assist where necessary.
  • Samples-Manage incoming and outgoing product samples, pull samples for meetings.

Qualifications:  

The preferred candidate must have the following qualifications to perform this job successfully. 

Education/Experience: BA/BS degree; at least 1-2 years of merchandising office experience. 

Language Ability: Excellent communication skills. 

Math Ability: Basic retail math. 

Computer Skills: Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and oracle system.
